New Music: Persona - "Say What You Say"

In my ever-constant grind to build the quintessential summer playlist, the latest single from Long Island's Persona had been on my radar for some time. After finally taking the plunge, I made damn sure to add it to the top of the list. 

I had written in great length about Persona back in 2013 with the release of their single, "Come Around." I was thoroughly impressed with the depth and earnestness, something that often feels like an afterthought to latter-day pop punk. I'm thrilled to say that their work ethic and willingness to embrace the irresistible elements of pop music have paid off in dividends on their latest tack, "Say What You Say." It's all here: catchy hooks and melodies, and some great vocals from guitarist Tom Spartinos and bassist Will Suraci (I'm such a sucker for a good harmony).
