It goes without saying that New Jersey is still dealing with the devastation in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Long after the “Frankenstorm” ripped through the East Coast there are still plenty without power, heat or even homes. There have been several benefit events lined up to aid in donating money. It’s awesome to see so many bands both local or otherwise contributing to the effort. The Everymen from Tuckerton, NJ have put together a massive benefit compilation featuring Those Mockingbirds, La Sera, Cinema Cinema, Nikki Sue & The Bad News and much more. The band issued a statement in a press release regarding the compilation:
“We are inextricably linked to where we come from. Like it or not, where you come from is who you are. And as a band from the Jersey Shore, we will always be from the Jersey Shore, no matter where our practice space is, no matter where we call home, no matter exactly how far from the Jersey Shore we travel. We’re a Jersey Shore rock and roll band and we’re always going to be a Jersey Shore rock and roll band.
You can buy the digital album here for $5 or more. Proceeds from this album will be directly donated to the America Red Cross. Not only do you get a whopping 52-tracks from some great bands you’ll also be helping out a good cause. That’s pretty much a win/win situation!
