Adrian and writer/comedian Mario Candelaria take to the streets of Brooklyn to discuss the graphic novel ASHES: A Firefighter’s Tale.
This week’s episode features returning guest, Mario Candelaria. Mario is a New York-born writer and comedian known for the upcoming crime drama Comare, which was discussed during his first appearance in Episode 21. His latest title is ASHES: A Firefighter’s Tale from Z2 Comics. In order to properly tell the story, Mario takes Adrian back to his hometown of Brooklyn and to the people and places that inspired the graphic novel. The conversation then turns to Adrian and Mario’s punk/screamo scene days of the mid-2000s with discussions on bands such as Glassjaw, Atreyu and Finch’s ill-fated sophomore album, Say Hello To Sunshine.
