Pink Chucks: “2.0”

Adrian Has Issues celebrates International Podcast Day 2026 with a new website and ways for listeners to support the show.

Happy International Podcast Day, everybody!

At this point, I figured I’ve done enough reflecting on the past. Don’t get me wrong: It’s good to acknowledge where you came from and the steps you took to get where you are. However, I learned the hard way that if you’re always looking back you’ll miss what’s right in front of you. So with that in mind, let’s talk a little bit about what’s happening right now: Adrian Has Issues has a new website! For the past few months, yours truly and illustrator/web designer extraordinaire Jayel Draco have been under the hood like Dom Toretto and Brian O’Connor, putting together the demon love between fun and functional. I’m sorry. I swear I’ll make less Fast & Furious references in the future.

Okay, so Jayel Draco and I didn’t build a sick new Dodge Charger, but it’s still pretty damn awesome.

I’ll be real with you: As infinitely rewarding it is, podcasting in all its forms feels like it’s got an uphill climb as of late. Economic struggles make it more difficult for creators on top of having to deal with shuttering platforms and the constant struggle with standing out in a world that’s becoming too keen on pushing AI slop among the masses. Much like any public-facing artform, one of the most crucial elements of creating is support. There’s no greater feeling in doing any of this than when we find that our work is truly resonating with people. We feed off of that energy and it drives us to wanna go the extra distance for people. It’s a two-way street and can do so much good in the world if channeled in a positive manner.

This is where you come in. How can you help exactly? Read on after the jump to learn about a few ways you can help us here at Adrian Has Issues directly.

This button here gives you immediate access to all things Adrian Has Issues!

Subscribe Directly To Adrian Has Issues! With the new interface we’ve made it super-easy to get involved with everything going on here. That nifty little button on the navigation bar will let you get notified of any future podcast or blog post delivered right to your inbox. It’s that easy!

Direct feedback is one of the most crucial elements for helping artists of all kinds. Have you ever been to a concert and during the show the performer puts their microphone out to the crowd to have them sing or shout along a part of the lyrics? It’s quick and cool way for them to know that what they’re doing is hitting with the audience. Comments and replies on the internet do something very similar. Hitting a “Like” button is a great way to show support, but direct feedback is also really helpful. Was there a particular part of a show you enjoyed or perhaps something you wanted to know more about? Adding a comment on a website, podcast application or replying to a social media post let’s the hosts know that you’re engaged and that direct connection means a lot. As a matter of fact, there’s a comment section at the bottom of most of our podcast/blog posts. Just be respectful in all things, please.

Smash that “Like” button! Please drop a rating and review on your favorite podcast app or website such as Apple Podcasts or Spotify to name a few. Doing so helps us out tremendously. Those ratings and reviews tell the various apps that people are really resonating with our work and will in turn push it in recommendations, allowing our work to reach more eyes and ears. Most importantly, the artist knows that their work is making true impact with its audience, which makes all the difference especially for independent creators.

Sharing is caring! Sharing links on your preferred social media app are strongly encouraged. Look, I get it: algorithms aren’t always fun to navigate. More often than not we’re in a constant battle to see the things we want to see versus what is merely suggested to us based on certain metrics. It can mean potentially missing out on something great. “Liking” posts and making comments can help, but sharing links is that other element to helping podcasts get the word out there.

Word of mouth! This feels like a no-brainer, but despite what any tech bro or market analyst says, word of mouth is still very much viable and even more crucial in a world that heavily relies on algorithms. Do you think what we do here is epic and based? Let a friend know! Do you think we’re cringe, but your friends are into this kinda stuff? Boom. You’ve already done the hard part and helped spread the word.

I’m embarrased to admit how many times I almost typed “Word of Mouf” in the previous paragraph lol

Sure, some might say that the scene is oversaturated and too many people have microphones/cameras these days, but if I truly believed that I wouldn’t be here and neither would Eileen and Ashley. We love what we do and we are so excited to bring you quality art that’ll entertain you and give you some food for thought as well. We’re grateful to each and every one of you for supporting us in whichever way you can. It truly means the world to us. Thank you.
