Episode 181: Night-Time Daywalkers (with NessaKilgannon)

On today’s episode, we’re paying tribute to The Daywalker himself, Blade. Joining me for a fun discussion of the 1998 cult classic is a good friend of mine Vanessa Sanders aka “NessaKilgannon.” Nessa is a writer, Twitch streamer and fellow “Child of the Fence” (members of the Coheed & Cambria fanbase for the normies).

In our nearly decade-long friendship we discovered very quickly that we’re both absolute sickos for the Blade film franchise (Trinity notwithstanding) and finally sat down to chat about the first movie. We discuss our favorite moments and dig into the movie’s many layers of barely-disguised subtext regarding racial identity, Deacon Frost’s potential as an anti-hero and we even delve into the Blade Drinking Game.
