It’s Friday evening and nothing exploded! Unless the timing was off the world didn’t end as predicted. Now that a certain monk was spared from being washed away by that giant tidal wave we can get back to the music. Today I’ve got some new music from Bloomfield, NJ’s Apostrophes. The trio is comprised of Francisco J. Paz (Vox/Guitars), Clauzenei Santos (Bass) and drummer Robert Mendoza. The track “Apostrophes” blends the aggression of hard rock/metal and soulful, introspective vocals. In describing the track the band stated, “This song is about how you don’t get what you give in life, and how only we as individuals have the strength to overcome the obstacles thrown our way.”
“Apostrophes” is the second release from the band, following the equally-stellar “Brothers.” Be on the lookout for their upcoming 6-song EP, which should be dropping sometime in 2013 via Mercury Recording Studio
